What is a Catwalk?  No, we’re not referring to the elevated platform or runway used by models to demonstrate clothing and accessories during a fashion show. We’re not even referring to an elevated walking bridge that runs between merchant vessels or in factories.

This a a oil rig Catwalk.  It facilities raising the drill pipe from horizontal to vertical and positioning it upright for use.
