Corpus Christi Technology Startup Company gets Social Media Coverage
SOCIAL MEDIA PLAYS CUPID FOR LOCAL ENTREPRENEUR AND UNIVERISTIES
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS –November 7, 2013 Social Media plays Cupid for local entrepreneur and several universities.
An entrepreneur in Corpus Christi, Texas named Bert Quintanilla read the story in LinkedIn two years ago about a nano based technology from Temple University and State University New York. After contacting the universities and exercising an option on the patent, he set up shop at The Coastal Business Innovation Center, part of the College of Business at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Today, he runs Hydro Enviro Clean, a Texas startup. The technology helps clean water used in hydro-fracking, cleans up acid water and removes iron from oil.
With the assistance of the students at the Innovation Center, Hydro Enviro Clean (H.E.C.), has developed a green method called ReLoad for recycling millions of gallons of water used in the fracturing process in oil and gas drilling. A method called FeControl for removing up to 93% iron in oil or sour crude. Both Reload and Fe Control binds and captures metals and potentially toxic particles in both frac water and sour crude.
H.E.C. has been featured several on line publications regarding this technology rollout that started with Social Media. “What we thought was going to be a helping solution to the local Eagle Ford Shale market, has instead turned into inquiries from oil and gas companies across the globe. Social media help start this company and has certainly helped roll it out as well,” said Quintanilla.

“I remember how excited all of us at the Innovation Center were when we learned how effective this totally natural product was. This application fits right into part of our strategic focus of finding better ways to reduce the impact of the drilling, production, and refining of petroleum products on our environment. We enjoyed seeing you mentioned in the “Technically Philly” article describing how Linkedin played a role in the development of Hydro Enviro Clean. There is a lesson here for all entrepreneurs.” Said Bill Cone, Coastal Bend Innovation Center Director

Dear Editor/ Owner of this site:
We have had many confused about this article has our magazine’s name in the title. Can this please changed to the correct name of their magazine? If this is not changed we will need to have this addressed by our attorney. Please feel free to contact me at 210.853.0213
Well, I’m thinking you get a lot of confused folks then. There are many Texas oil and gas magazines out there. Interesting that you think you own those generic words. In the spirit of cooperation – we took those generic words out. However, this in no way indicates that we will not refer to any Texas magazine in the Oil and Gas industry as a “Texas oil and gas magazine” in future editorials… Jack Frack, Editor
